Guided calibration
Step by step: backup, CCD calibration, focus measured three times, write to the scanner, check,
the lamp's warm-up time and a final backup. Every step says what to put in; nothing is written without your OK. About 35 minutes – in the demo about one.
You need: the calibration holder, a black card and the focus sheet. Stay at the scanner.
Checkpoints – kept, so you can stop and continue later:
Back up calibration
Reads everything the scanner stores about itself: positions, focus and zoom, IDs, the EEPROM and (optionally) the whole flash chip.
Read-only – nothing is written to the scanner.
Backups
Kept on the Studio Mac, by the scanner's serial number.
